Hi sorry to hear about your problem. Lets discuss some basic concepts. Mania can be an event without any identifiable cause but in some cases some initiating stressors can be identified. In your case one the stressor that i can identify is use of steroids. Steroids can cause or provoke an event of psychosis. But to find exact events , a serious of history taking sessions would be required. So my advice at the point is Talk to your doctor to weigh the prescription of steroids with its side effects and if possible they can be stopped.
