What Causes Anal Bleeding After Bowel Movement?

I have had some spotting after bowel movement, mostly when I strain. Maybe 3-4 times now. I am 61 and still have my uterus and ovaries. Have had endometrial BX done in the last 2 yrs and echecked again w US. Nothing wrong. Now the spotting w BM. I m a nurse, the worst kind of pt and scared.

Welcome to HCM. Sorry about your worry. From what you describe, it seems that you may have anal fissures, these are classic with straining and constipation. To alleviate this include a stool softener, increase water consumption and fruits and vegetables and exercise do the trick. I hope that this helps. Good luck.
