What Causes An Itchy Rash On The Feet While On Cephalexin And Doxycycline?

im taking cephalexin and doxycycline for 4 days and now i have a ichy rash on the top of both feet my question is should i stop taking both until i can get in to see my doctor. the reason im taking these meds is that i had a infection in my finger from a cut that required a 3 day hospital stay with iv antibiotics

Thanks for the query..

If the rashes are due to antibiotics then you need to stop taking them and take alternate antibiotics that you are compatible with.
And to know which antibiotics are suitable for you, you can be advised a blood test.
So first of all consult your Physician or an Emergency room and get evaluated as there can be many other reasons for rashes like allergy to any skin cosmetics, detergents, bug bites etc..
For now you can take antihistamines like Benadryl to reduce the rashes..
You can also apply Caladryl lotion to soothe the skin..
