What Causes An Induration After Taking A Tetanus Booster?

I had a tetanus booster 5 days ago. The injection site seems to have formed an induration... How long should I let it resolve itself before seeing a doctor about it? It s been more than 48 hours and it is still very sensitive and even painful at times. It limits my arms mobility as well. Thank you.

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concern. The intramuscular injection given to you is seems to be much painful. Normally the pain is relieved and the induration feds up by 72 hours. If it doesn't dissappear by that time and restricts mobility of your arm immediately consult your doctor to rule out any nerve damage.
