I HAVE ATERRIBLE SMELL FROM MY NOISE SOMETIME GO ALL THE WAY DOWN INTO MY LUNGS HAVE HAD IT FOR ABOUT 4-MONTH DEVELOPE IT WHILE WITH MY HUSBAND IN HOSPITAL IN M D ANDERSON HAVING A STEAM CELL TRANSPLANT IT WILL NOT GO AWAY SOME NIGHTS I WAKE UP ALMOST TAKE MY BREATH AWAY. BEEN TO DR HAD EX- RAY DUE TO HAVE CT SCAN OF MY SINITUS HOPE MAY YOU CAN GIVE SOME IDEAL OF WHAT IT MIGHT BE

Sounds like chronic allergic fungal rhinosinusitis(AFRS) or just a fungal rhinosinusitis. A CT scan and a sample of mucous from your nasal cavity/sinuses for a lab test can help confirm this.
If you are a diabetic and have blackish crustings form within your nose then it may also be early mucormycosis.
