What Causes Aggressive Behaviour And Depression After Recovering From Fever?
My husband suffered West Nile a year ago, September 11, 2016. He was hospitalized and very ill with a fever of 104 plus for five days. He has never been the same. He has become aggressive and I had to have him arrested for spousal abuse. He then filed for divorce after 15 years of marriage. He experiences crying and emotional ups and downs. His behavior is like a light switch, it can change in an instance. Where can I get information about the mental deterioration he is expericening. He has become such a liar.
Viral fever may cause post viral encephalomyelitis or post viral spondylitis may present with mood changes or Oxoplasma Infection may also present like this. It may be due to organise cause psychosomatic causes. It may be due to bipolar disorder etc.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.
If symptoms not improved please consult your psychiatrist doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
