Hello,

Ideally you should not be pregnant. However, if you were not on regular contraceptive pills and did not take any emergency CP precautions then you are suggested to get clinically examined by a gynecologist, get urine test (with the first morning mid stream urine) for pregnancy done to rule out pregnancy.

Other causes of abnormal vaginal bleeding are hormonal disorders, PCOS, PID, peri menopausal phase, fibroid, endometriosis or STI (chlamydia. vaginal dryness, etc). You are suggested to get a complete health check up together with blood tests and other investigations done to detect the pathology causing you discomfort. You will be treated accordingly. In the meantime, take high protein, calcium, iron rich diet. Take adequate sleep & stay away from anxiety.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
