What Causes Abnormal Behavior In A Child?

My daughter is high strung. I walked into the tv room and she was humping very fast against her hand. She is 11. I did not say anything but she is careless about sitting with open legs wears pants that are big in the waist. I have remarried and want the best for her. Is this nateral for her age?
