What Causes Abdominal Pain?

I am a 30 year old female, generally very healthy and I am having severe and constant pain in my right abdomen. It starts right under the ribs and continues down past my pubic line. I do not have a fever but I do feel very uncomfortable and a bit achy. It is also really painful to the touch. May this be a pulled muscle?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that there might be having some muscle pull producing strain on abdominal muscles giving this problem.
As there is tenderness on the site while touching, possibility of having appendicitis should be ruled out.
Consult your doctor and get examined.
Meanwhile take NSAID like Diclophenac, paracetamol combination medicine as needed.
Ok and take care.
