Hi! I have been diagnosed with pcos 15months ago, since then I had my periods only twice.. Now I m on medication... Cyclo progynova, metformin, vitamin e and eve care. I m having slight abdominal pain and I am onnmy 16th cyclo progynova pill, is that a sign of period?? And is there possibility of pregnancy??
It is possible that the abdominal pain may indicate that your period may be coming but you would need to monitor to determine if this is the case. The use of contraception in persons who have PCOS would normally help to regularize the period.
This would normally start during the break between packs.
In terms of pregnancy, PCOS can be associated with difficulty conceiving but there are treatments that can help with this. The metformin that you are using is thought to help.
In addition weight loss of any excess weight and the use of medication to help with ovulation (release of an egg from the ovary), would also help with conception.
If these methods are not effective there are also other techniques as well
I hope this helps
