What Causes Abdominal Pain, Vomiting And Spotting?

My girlfriend has abdominal pain and threw up today. Expected to start her period yesterday, but only had very light spotting. Nothing at all today. Complained of pain during intercourse a few days prior. She also says her mouth is really dry. Any thoughts?

Hi thanks for writing in.
Menstrual irregularities may arise due to illness, stress and other hormonal imbalances in the body.
She can take a home pregnancy test after 4-5 days if you have had unprotected intercourse in the last month, or do an ultrasound in a weeks time.
Meanwhile, she should see a doctor if the abdominal pain and vomiting is persistent or increases.
Ask her to drink fluids and avoid spicy, processed food.

Hope this is helpful.
