What Causes Abdominal Distention And Lower Backache While On Ciprofloxacin?
I finished 5 days of Ciprofloxacin Hal for bladder infection. Prescribed after culture and sensitivity was done. Finished Saturday had some bad pain in am relieved after BM. Today my abd and is distended to the point of being painful as I walk. Sever lower back pain. Feel unwell.

This seems in relation with severe gastritis and intestinal upset as a side effect of the Ciprofloxacin giving rise to abdominal distension, relieved after bowel movements and backache due to referred pain in front of the abdomen.
Discontinue Ciprofloxacin immediately and contact your doctor for the alternative. Can consume capsule Prilosec.
