What Causes Abdominal Discomfort, Pelvic Area Fluid And Constipation?

I have the classic symptoms of kidney stones, so I was told. I m a 44 year old male. I had a CT scan today of my lower abdomen and pelvic area, I was told their are no stones & my appendix looked fine though there was some fluid, pelvic area I believe the nurse said. My discomfort isn t constant but is about a four to five on a scale of 1 to 10 when it occurs, it kind of builds itself up. I haven t has a bowel movement in over three days, after 48 hours I took some laxatives that really do much, some liquid came out but not that much. Its Friday and the doctors don t return until Tuesday, should I be concerned? Should I continue with laxatives? Does any of this sound familiar?

Hello,

You may be having intraabdominal pathology or inflammation may cause fluid into the peritoneal cavity.

Conditions like a cardiac or renal failure may also cause these symptoms.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.

Get it done urine examination, ultrasound abdomen and endoscopy may useful.

If stool not passed then it is better to check bowel motility if good then you may try enema.

Please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
