What Causes Abdominal Discomfort On The Right Side?
a couple of hours ago my right side abdomen started to give me discomfort and has seemed to progressivley got more painful. put ice on it hour ago sore if i push in on right side between 1st rib and adjacent to belly button had appendix removed last june . if i take sharp breath its uncomfortable about a 3 on scale of ten side was sore there a couple of days ago and is at other times of an on but has never been this much had a bowel movement earlier did nt have any pain yet then took a pain pill at 630pm it may be starting to help . im just a little concerned that my side keeps being sore now an then and this evening quite uncomfortable i am overweight and im a professional truck driver .thank you for your time my e-mail is YYYY@YYYY

In my opinion, you should get done ultrasound examination of the abdomen to rule out internal abdominal pathology. If this is normal then no need to worry much. Sometimes simple musculoskeletal pain can also cause a similar kind of pain. Since you are a truck driver which needs prolonged sitting, musculoskeletal pain is more likely.
1) So apply warm water pad on affected areas.
2) Avoid prolonged sitting.
3) Seat with proper back support.
4) Take simple painkiller like Paracetamol or Ibuprofen.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
