What Causes Abdominal Cramps, Diarrhea And Mild Spotting Post Intake Of Cytotec?
Hello doctor I am 4 weeks pregnant and had cytotec took 5 and had bleeding and cramps bt not really heavy and bleeding stopped the next day. I took another 5 and I am having cramps bt no bleeding only small spotting and diarrhea. Has the pregnancy terminated or should I undergo a surgical procedure?

Bleeding after taking the cytotec suggest abortion process has been started.
Abdominal cramp, diarrhea are the side effect of the pill.
Spotting could be there as whole abortion process will finish in the 4-5 days.
Cytotec should be taken under the advise of the gynecologist after confirming the intrauterine pregnancy by USG scan.
I would suggest to consult the gynecologist and undergo vaginal examination and USG scan to know the status of the pregnancy/abortion process.
If retain product will found then it should be treated by extra dose of misoprostol under the supervision of the gynecologist or by surgical process like D & C.
Take tablet meftal saps for the abdominal cramp
Drink plenty of water, take ORS supplements, boiled rice with the added lime and salt
Maintain proper pelvic hygiene and take proper rest.
USG should be done after 14 days to confirm the incomplete abortion
