What Causes Abdominal Cramps Along With Severe Sweating And Dizziness?

Over the weekend I experienced abdominal cramping, extreme sweating, light headedness and diarrhea ending withed blood in the stool. I had this same condition a couple of years ago and found out that I had ruptured a hemroid. However this time, the following day I had black stools. I took some Kaopectate caplets for the diarrhea. Would this cause blackened stools?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The black stool may be due to the kaopectate. This is one of the possible side effects of this type of medication.

The other causes of black stool are : iron supplements, use of peptobismol or bleeding from the upper GI tract (stomach and small intestines).

Diarrhea due to infection or inflammation of the colon can cause bleeding to occur.
If you are over the age of suggested screening of the colon and have not done a colonoscopy then this should be done as well

I hope this helps
