What Causes Abdominal Cramping With Pain Under Ribs And In Back?

Well for about 3 weeks I have been having on and off cramping. Last period I remember is beginning of april. My tunes have been tied for 9 years. I am diabetic. I am experiencing pain under my ribs on my right side. Just pressing a little bit hurts almost like it s bruised. I m also having cramping pain in my lower left abdomen maybe ovary. I just used the bathroom and noticed pinkish when I wiped so I think my period may be coming. I have also had my gall bladder removed 2 years ago. I am also having back pain.

Your history is a bit complex one and needs special investigations to rule out the cause of the disease.

1st of all at this age group and with all the history, you need a colonoscopy to see whats going on there. For that, go to the Gastroentrologist near you.

Next comes the Hepatitis viral blood screening. Hepatocellular carcinoma needs to be ruled out in patients like you. Alpha fetoprotein levels in blood are very helpful, and needs to be worked out. Gastroentrologist will do all the investigations.

Once all blood work is over your Gastroentrologist will tell what's the reason of your illness.
