What Causes Abdominal Bloating While On Elleste Duet?

I am on Elleste duo 2 mg and have been taking for one year. I am not suffering the mind loss and hot sweats as I did before but feel massively bloated. I have a regular break through bleed. I wonder should I stop and just see if things have changed. Can your periods stop when on HRT?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The bloating that you are getting is a side effect of HRT.
No worries. Stay specific on what you eat.
Take low fat diet and include fiber, stay well hydrated, do regular exercises, avoid constipation and take your medications with food to reduce the bloating that you experience. You should keep your treating doctor informed if symptoms still hurt, your medications can be altered & monitored to suit your needs.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
