What Causes A Swollen Cheek Mark And Face With Eye Puffiness?
Hello ! My boyfriend has woken up with a swollen cheek near his mouth a few times over the last couple of weeks. It seemed to go away then come back. He woke up just the other day and the same side was worse with the swelling continuing up his face and now his eye is puffy too. There is also a mark on his upper cheek under his eye which looks like a bite which we didn't notice before. He went to the doctors today who advised it was probably a bite and gave him antibiotics and advised to take them if it got worse. Could it be that he got bitten a few weeks ago and it's just now festering? Also, his teeth need attention could it be related even though his teeth/gums are not sore? I will appreciate your advice. Hello,
Dear swollen cheek and eye puffiness can be because of infection in maxillary sinuses.These sinuses are actualy hollow bones inside face filled with air.They are linked with theeth and eyes too.so any infection inside teeth or gums can spread to these sinuses and vice versa eyes too.
If a bite i s assumed, cause can be infection because of that bite ,also get checked by a dentist ,to evalute any theeth cavity or infection particulary upper teeth.
