Welcome to HealthcareMagic,
Your blood pressure is very high.
High blood pressure can result from various reasons such as mental
stress, genes, obesity,
smoking etc. You need to check your blood pressure for 3 consecutive days and if it still remains high then visit your physician as you blood pressure pill dose needs to be increased or a new drug needs to be added.
Normal blood pressure for adults is less than 140 over 90.
In order to control blood pressure follow the given below advice:
1. Regular exercise such as brisk walking for at least 30 minutes per day
2. Consume a diet rich in fruits, vegetables and low fat dairy products.
3. Reduce salt intake to less than 5 grams per day (1 teaspoon is approximately 5 grams)
4. Take your medications regularly and get your blood pressure checked at least once a month.
Hope that answers you question.
Regards, Dr.Imaad
