What Causes A Small Lump On The Side Of The Neck?

3 months ago I went to see my gp I found a small lump in the side of my neck it doesn t hurt she told me it could be due to being ill which I wasn t and haven t been or that it could be because I was due my period ive not had a period since last October is any of this what it is its bothering me now ive had it over 3 months.

Yes, you should definitely bother for this chronic neck swelling.
Possibility of cervical lymphnode enlargement is more in your case.
You are having this since 3 months. So possibility of chronic infection like tubercular or fungal Lymphadenopathy is more.
And in these kind of chronic infections, menstrual irregularities are common.
So better to get done ultrasound examination of neck to find out the size of swelling.
You will also need fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) to identify the cause for this.
You will need anti tubercular or anti fungal drugs on the basis of FNAC report.
Don't worry, you will be alright with treatment.
