What Causes A Small Indentation On The Leg With Stabbing Pain?

I have a small indentation on my leg. twice now I experienced hot stabbing pain in my leg and when I was rubbing it found that this indentation became the size of a half dollar and was about half an inch deep. I had an injury to my leg three years ago where the hydraulics of a stool went out and smashed my leg. It did not break my leg but I have experienced a lot of pain and periodically my foot goes numb and I fall. I was just concerned about this new indention in my leg and could it be from the accident?

Hello,

As a first line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopaedician and plan for an MRI scan for further assessment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
