General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Yes this is worrisome as this may be due to an underlying hemangioma. It can be due to granuloma. You should consult an ENT surgeon or a general surgeon for clinical evaluation to know the cause. Supplementary investigations as needed such as MRI angiography if required.

The treatment will obviously depend upon the the exact cause found and can be local cauterization or ligation of hemangioma if present. Do not do anything at home as you do not know what can be an underlying cause and can cause more bleeding or so.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
