Hi I have a red circle mark on knee size of a quarter. Should I be worried? My leg is sore not painful but sore when I went in salt water felt like something in leg and started to itch more. It doesn t look like ring worm but hoping it s nothing bad.
Hi. As per your case history you are having granuloma annulare. My treatment advice is - 1. Avoid trauma and irritation on affected region. 2. Apply a mild topical steroid cream like mometasone cream on the lesion twice daily. 3. Take a vitamin b12 supplement once daily for 3 months. 4. Other treatment options are oral vitamin E, topical tacrolimus given only after consulting a dermatologist.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
