What Causes A Pus Filled Spot On The Scalp Of A Teenager?
Hi my 13 year old daughter just asked me to look at her head cause it has been wet feeling all day. There is a spot on the top of her head about an inch in diameter that is leaking a fluid . Her head is a bit red and the fluid is a tiny bit yellowish. But it looks ok otherwise, any ideas?

Hello,
The symptoms seem to be related to folliculitis which is an infection of the hair follicle. I suggest to clean the area with an antibacterial soap and use an antibiotic ointment for local application such as Neosporin cream. The infection will go away gradually.
