Hello,
I had gone through your query and understand your concern.
Looking at your description I am thinking of following possibilities,
01) Lipoma: It's a benign condition. Swelling here will be painless, freely movable, soft. No need to worry in this case. You need to consult a physician if you develop any pain, sudden increase in size. Otherwise there is no need for any treatment. Usually excision is done in this case.
02) Hernia: Here there will be abnormal protrusion of abdominal contents through any
muscular weakness areas. It increase when you
cough, bend or lift something. In this case it is better to
consult a general surgeon.
03) Hematoma: means collection of blood. Consider this if you had any recent injuries.
It is advisable to consult a doctor if you notice any changes in the swelling like size, hardness, pain etc or if you develop any other abdominal symptoms like
constipation.
Hope this answers your question.
You can ask any follow up question or any other query. I wll be happy to help.
