Hello!
Welcome on Healthcaremagic!
Your symptoms could be related to different possible causes:
-a spike in blood pressure values
- tension type headache, caused by psychological stress
- ice peak headache, which is a benign type of headache.
Coming to this point, I would recommend you to closely monitor your blood pressure values, especially during this type of headache.
If the problem persists, I would recommend consulting with a
neurologist for a careful physical exam and some tests:
- thyroid hormone levels (
synthroid dose adjustment may be needed)
- blood electrolytes
- PCR, sedimentation rate,
complete blood count for inflammation.
If all the above tests result normal, and your blood pressure values are within the normal ranges, there is nothing to worry about! In such case a painkiller like
acetaminophen or
ibuprofen would help.
Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Kind regards, Dr. Aida
