What Causes A Painful Bulge Under The Breast?

my sister is having a pain right below the right breast that tenses and then bubbles up causing the skin to bulge temporarily like a soft ball the size of a racket ball - it usually lasts for 30 seconds to 1 minute in duration then the bulge disappears and leaves no tenderness but leaves a feeling like you would have after a charley horse - it started about the 28th of June and it is happening more often each day - my sister is 45 and has asthma

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Any palpable lump in the breast has to be evaluated thoroughly.
You have to go for an ultrasound scan to assess the size and location of the lump. If it is of significant size it is better to do a biopsy under ultrasound guidance to confirm the diagnosis and to rule out malignancy.Consult a general surgeon and he will direct you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
