Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I woke up this morning and noticed I had a lump on my clavicle bone. I have had pain on my shoulder radiating down my arm for ACOUPLE of days. I say my dr today and he X-rays it but I haven t heard anything yet. The lump I is like 3 inches. It s remark able it s very noticeable. I have dejenerative disc desease , arthritis and I had breast cancer in 2012 on my left breast and I have the lump on my left side
Lump on clavicle can be due to bone growth or soft tissue growth lying on clavicle. I suggest you to get a X-ray of the clavicle to know the origin of the lump. Pain radiating down the arm could be due to nerve compression caused by the lump. Clinical assessment and radiological investigations will help to determine the cause of lump and hence management.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
