What Causes A Lump On Left Side Of Nose And Blood Mucus Discharge?

About 4 weeks ago I found a lump on the left side of my neck that was accompanied by losing my voice coughing and a fever.I went to the doctor and she told me its a virus and for me to rest for a couple of and take ibufferin but it didn t help I started to have mucus with blood coming from my nose. So I went back to the doctor and she gave antibiotics for two weeks. Now it s two weeks later and the l lump feels larger then it did before. What do I do now?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The lump is likely to be a lymph node.

These enlarge as a result of infection in the area, they are responsible for helping to fight infection.
It can normally take 4 to 6 weeks for the lymph node to decrease , it should be decreasing not increasing however, so you should be consider going to your doctor for assessment.

I hope this helps
