What Causes A Lump Behind Knee After An Injury?

A hook smashed into my kneecap a couple of months ago at work. I couldn't walk on it and had to be brought to the work dr. X-rays showed nothing, but I had to be in a wheelchair for a week. It's been sore since then and feels unstable and really tight. Tonight I noticed a huge lump behind my knee??? What's going on?

Hi, there is nothing to worry much about this you just do USG of the region as there is some collection; it could be synovial fluid / synovitis, blood/hematoma or some bursa like cystic condition.

Cold compress and go for aspiration test for removal of the collection as well as confirmation!

Then kindly revert back to us possibly with sigh of relief!
