What Causes A Huge Dent On Back Of Head?

I just noticed a huge dent in the back center of my 19 yr old sons head after he got his head shaved today. I noticed it somewhat the other day when he still had hair, but its bigger than I thought since I can clearly see it. Its like a huge soft spot but in the back center of his head. Is this something i need to be concerned about. Thank you.

It is the shape of skull formed by various bones in the skull. There may be a ridge, a depression and raised area etc. In my opinion, these are normal things and need not require any treatment until and unless associated with symptoms.
