What Causes A Hard Mass Between The Inner Side Of Tailbone And Rectum?

I went to immediate care today because I have a mass that i discovered the other day between my rectum and my tailbone. The mass is about the size of a huge grape and it is below the surface of the skin. It is not warm to the touch and is very hard and seems to have a long tail. The doc today tried to aspirate it and nothing came out. He was not sure what it was and said to make an appointment with a general surgeon. I am wondering what this could be. He did not think it was a boil because it was deep, there was no pus and it was not warm to the touch. What do you think?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Welcome.
I have gone through your query.
It is difficult to comment on it without examination, so I would either suggest you to see doctor for examination and for exact diagnosis or upload the pictures here, I'll go through them, and provide you with specific advice.
Might be folliculitis but needs an examination to confirm
Hope this helps.
Take care
