What Causes A Hard Lump On The Shin?

Hi, in mid September I fell on my stairs and hit my shin with my entire bodywork weight coming down on it. I broke the skin through jeans and it was bruised for about 3 weeks. I had bruising below my ankle that took several weeks to go away. Five moths later and I have a small scar above a hard painful bump, which is exactly where I fell. It usually only hurts when I push on it. I never went to the doctor, but should I be concerned? The injury was on the front of my shin about 6 inches from my ankle. What is this hard lump on my leg? Should I be concerned? Please help me out!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
dear,
ur history is suggesting about possible keloid or osteoid osteoma in ur tibia, but without going for xray it is really difficult to diagnose as an old hairline fracture may also lead to a callus and subsequent lump.
i will suggest you to go for a xray and orthopedician consultation.
thanks
