Hi I was sitting watching tv and starting getting a weird fluttering sensation on the left side of my cheast, it wasn t painfully but took my breath away. For a long period of time I have also been getting sort of shooting pains down the left were of my chest next to my arm when I breath in they get worse, any clue what s happening?
Hi welcome to HCM. Chest discomfort along with fluttering heartbeat in your case has to be evaluated through baseline ecg and screening 2 dimensional echocardiogram of the heart to evaluate the presence of ischemic heart disease if any.In case of any positive results,a coronary angiogram is carried out to detect the presence of any stenotic lesions hindering the blood flow to heart.Drugs like antiplatelets are given prophylactically.Consult your cardiologist for further queries. Thank you.
