What Causes A Dull Colored Puss Filled Spot On Neck?

I have had a dull colored spot on the side of my neck for years. Every now and then I squeeze it and firm zit-like puss comes out. It doesn t smell very good either. Last month it formed a bigger bump that I popped. Now I have a little bump...about 1/8 inch in diameter that is hard where the bigger bump was. Does this sound concerning. The original spot has never grown or changed until now I have this BB sized bump

Hello
Thanks for asking HCM
Is there any opening at the site. Usually it is branchial sinus. Which is development anomaly ie present since birth.
These sinuses are connected to inside throat . They get infected and so there is swelling and pus discharge .You need to get ENT consultation for examination and diagnosis.and if its branchial sinus then you need to get operated.
