What Causes A Decrease In Menstrual Bleeding?

I had unprotected sex right around the time my period was due. Afterwards I expierienced bright red blood so I thought my period started. However, it only lasted two or three days and was very very light brownish blood. Not my normal period. I only had to use pantyliners when I usually go thru a package of pads. I ve since then took two pregnacy tests which are both negative. Could I be pregnant or not?

Hello,

I do not think you're pregnant. However, I advise observing the next periods, the time and quantity. If still changed, take another pregnancy test to fully confirm.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
