What Causes A Bump On Labia Close To The Clitoris?

Went to my obgyn yesterday for an annual to get birth control. I ve been a bit anxiety ridden after noticing a skin tag I had gotten right where my panty line was. Realizing it was just that, my worries eased up a bit. Until I noticed a tiny bump, on my mans pubis, outer labia, but close to my clit. I have not hade any side affects i.e. itching, burning, swelling, discharge. It simply looks like the tiny (pores, dots that a normal inner labia has. However, it got larger. Still no side affects, and I wouldn t even notice I I didn t examine myself regularly on a normal basis. My new obgyn simply said it could be HPV, warts, but not to be concerned. They stay dormant for up to years and usually go away by themselves. This, However was extremely nerving to me and need some real advise, besides my own, new obgyn to shrug it off like its nothing to worry about. I should her my concern and that was basically the end of our meeting. At a loss and need some good direction as this is extremely disheartening and irony at its worst. Got birth control; However, doesn t seem to matter now. Please help and thank you as well, sad, grossed out (google images) and concerned, Thank You Kindly, A

OB and GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

If it’s asymptomatic like you don’t have pain, itching, swelling etc then you really don’t need to worry about it. It’s sometimes infection of the hair follicle. All you need to do is warm saline water sponges twice or thrice in a day which will be convenient for you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
