What Causes A Bruise-like Spot On The Leg?

I have what looks like a bruise on my leg. It started out a couple of days ago small and appears to be growing both up and down my leg several inches. It is sore to touch like a bruise. I don t have any injury that I can remember that caused it but might have bumped myself. It expanded in a wierd way diagnonally across my upper thigh and down my calf over the past two days. I am out of state with crap out of network coverage and will be gone for another week.

As per your query you have symptoms of a bruise-like spot on the leg which seems to be due to an allergic reaction, sensitivity to sunlight, eczema and scabies.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you consult a dermatologist for proper examination. The doctor may take a skin sample for a lab test, the sample is examined under a microscope to confirm the presence of mites or eggs. The doctor may prescribe permethrin cream, 25 per cent benzyl benzoate lotion and per cent sulfur ointment. For now, apply cold compresses and take benadryl and protect your skin from direct sunlight. Keep yourself hydrated and wear loose clothes.
