What Causes A Blister On The Buttocks?

I have what looks to be a blood blisten on the outside of one of my bum cheeks. I ve had it for a while however recently it looks as if there is an opening to it but I can tell there is still some liquid in there. It s in extremely painful to touch, the smallest dab and I get extreme burning pains for a short while. Sometimes when I walk it absolutely kills. Do you know what it could be? Is there anything I can do to get rid of it?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have blister on the buttocks . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like folicullitis , local infection , lipoma or allergy . I would suggest you to keep the area clean and dry , wear loose cloths , apply over the counter antibiotics cream and apply ice packs and also take over the counter anti histamine zyrtec . If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may order test like allergy test or take sample for lab test . Doctor will check physically for tenderness and consistency . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like erythromycin along with anti inflammatory and corticosteroid cream . Doctor may also recommend surgical excision . Doctor may also prescribe antiviral drug depending upon the diagnosis .
