I was having a little difficulty swallowing so my doctor ordered a swallow test. I had this test on Wednesday (3 days ago). Ever since the test, my swallowing problem has gotten so much worse and now I can hardly eat anything. We are beginning to think my throat got injured during the test. I went from being able to eat normal with the occasional problem to now not being able to eat anything without food getting stuck. Really, I can't tell if food is in there all the time or I am swollen in there. I'm getting pretty scared.
What is the report of your test have shown? Possible causes esophagitis or gastro oesophagal reflux disease or diffuse oesophagal spasm or achalasia cardia etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.
Need Upper GI endoscopy and barium swallow study. Use tablet pantoprazole before breakfast for one week. If symptoms not improved please consult your Gastroenterologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
