Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My father (74) has been diagnosed with a large ulcerated growth in the caecum, his blood tests (CEA) showed levels that were normal, and he is undergoing a CECT abdominal test presently. We are worried about his health but he is in normal physical shape, very active. What might be the problem? He got tested because of light bleeding while going to the toilet.
Well come to HCM Thank for asking, I appreciate your concern, if the lesion is chronic then it may turn into malignancy, if the lesion is not chronic then it may not be malignancy but it could be infection, it is all depends upon the tests reports and the important is the biopsy it is the only option that clears all the doubts, some time it may be internal hemorrhoids, you can discuss this with his doctor, hope this information helps
