What Can Cause Severe Burning Sensation And Red Rashes On The Chest And Stomach?

Occasionally I have this severe burning under my skin in the chest and stomach area. The burning feels deep under my skin and I would see a red patch, sometimes the length and width of two fingers put together. Initially I used to get these burning in the morning after I wake up, especially if I wake up earlier than usual but recently I ve been experiencing these burning sensations more often and throughout the day. I noticed when am stressed at work I would have an instance if burning, and it itches at times. When it burns at my rib section, they feel sore. What could be the cause doc?

Hi,

Initially you can apply a Calamine lotion and take an antihistamine tablet. If you do not get relief from symptoms, do consult your dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis and to initiate the treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
