What Can Cause Low TSH Levels Along With Cold Hands And Feet?

I am a 55 yr old male. I recently lost 45 pounds and currently I weight 265. Recently I have been experiencing cold hands, cold feet and low energy. I am on high blood pressure but my doctor reduced the dosage in the hopes that it would help. My thyroid level is .08 as well. Any ideas?

Hi,

The possible causes of weight loss may be due to hyperthyroidism or tuberculosis or food intolerance or malabsorption syndromes or malignancy or retroviral diseases etc.

Yes, you are in a drug-induced hyperthyroid state and need to take a low dose.

Also, check for serum electrolytes, hemoglobin, ECG and chest X-ray.

Please consult your physician/endocrinologist, he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
