What Can Cause Difficulty In Swallowing And Nausea After Having Food?

Hey, a few months ago, I noticed a problem with my swallowing abilities, and it s difficult for me swallow food and the past few days it s been difficult for me to drink, because everything I try to ingest feels like I m either about to choke or throw up so I wanted to know is this something I can fix or can be healed on my own without a hospital run.

Hi,

How old are you? Since when you're suffering from this problem?

If it is acute dysphagia may be due to foreign body aspiration or oesophagal web with full closure or it may be due to achalasia or malignancy of oesophagus or acute gastritis with GERD oesophagal spasm etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Please consult your gastroenterologist he will do upper GI endoscopy and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
