When I was first diagnosed with type 1 diabetes 19 yrs ago at the age of 11, about 3 days after being started on insulin...I was blind for almost a whole day! Couldn t see anything! My question is...is this normal and what is the medical explanation for this?
Control of diabetes is most important. In target organ involve ment retino pathy is to be checked. capillary micro aneurism causes bleeding which may effect vision. Photo coagulation-of bleeding point can prevent hemorrhage. So check up should be in same line.
