What Can Be Done For Tuberosity Cortical Irregularity?

A recent X-ray Report of my rat shoulder read, “ greater tuberosity cortical irregularity is noted which can be seen with rotator cuff pathology. “ what does this mean? Woul it explain pain I have in my shoulder from the top of the shoulder to mid upper arm especially when I lift it or stretch it in any way?

Hi,

You are having rotator cuff pathology as per x ray report. Rotator cuff muscles might be tear or sprained in that area. So you are having pain while lifting your shoulder and arm.

Physiotherapy and anti inflammatory drug can be prescribed for you until you consult orthopedic surgeon for examination and further discussion of your case.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
