What Can Be Done For Spinal Pain After Doing Head Stand?
Hello Sir, Just now I did Headstand ( Shirshaasan pose) for the first time. Initially it was fine but when I repeated I felt pain in the upper spine ( just between the blades). Now when I move my neck left ,right or upwards, it pains in that region of the spine. although the pain is not excruciating still I'm worried that It should not become chronic and also concerned about permanent damage to the spine. What should I do ?
Hello, I don't think there should be any worry regarding this. Avoid doing headstand again till you become pain free and you must always try doing yoga exercises under the supervision of a trained yoga expert. For the pain you may take ibuprofen 400 mg three times a day for 5-7 days. Do local icing 4-5 times a day for couple of days. You shall be all right soon. Thanks
