Treatment depends on the cause of the murmur. Innocent murmurs need no treatment and the child can lead a normal active life. Congenital heart disease often requires major cardiac surgery.
NO, only a licensed physician can treat the heart murmers.
I will advise not to try anything from websites, let your physician do the job, and when you are alright you will lead a normal, so wait for a couple days, you have full life in front of you.

Hi Dr, Our first baby boy born on 10th May 2014. He born on 36 week having weight 1.9kg. He is doing good but his doctor recognized an extra sound in his heart on 17th May 2014. According to his suggestion, we have showed to a pediatrician who is in service a branch of Narayana Health Care yesterday. He did some scan and told the baby has a medium hole (probably ASD, not sure still from his prescription) in his heart causing the murmur. He told that, this can be closed naturally till 2 years of kids age. He asked us to visit after 2 months. And take care of baby from cold and some precautions. He has given a syrup named some furosemide(not correct) to have 1 dose twice daily. My baby s is having mother milk nicely and gaining proper wait (2.3 kgs now, 27th May). Can you please let me know the in detail about the cure for this? And if possible what is the amount for 1 dose(1ml or ?) for the syrup furosemide(not correct)? Thanks, Probir Paul
My daugther in law smoked while she was pregnant. She is 21 years old and it is her first pregnancy. The baby is 3 weeks old and the pediatrician advised them to see a doctor at Unitas because he has a heart murmer (supposedly as a result of a hole). How common is this? Is it curable and could her smoking have anything to do with it? He does not turn blue when he cries of feeds. He weighed 3,8kg at birth and today his weight was 4,4kg.

I have been told after testing by a cardiologist that I have a heart murmur and given three daily prescriptions which I take faithfully ever day. Today though it feels as if my heart is being squeezed painfully and then after that pain passes, it feels as though my heart beating so hard that it would break through my ribcage. Why?
My husband is 49 years old and was diagnosed with a heart murmur as a child. He told me last night that for the past month he has been experiencing an unusual heart rhythm. He also said that he feels his heart pounding in his throat all the time to the point that it's bothering him. Is this anything to be concerned about?
