What Are The Uses And Side Effects Of Xarelto Drug?

I have been taking xeralto for 5 months and my hair is falling out. It looks like I am on chemo. I have had all kinds of testing done to rule out thyroid, anemic, low iron etc. that my doctor could think was possible cause. The only new medication I am on is Xeralto. I have called the drug company and they deny it as a side effect. It is real and have read on web sites other patients on the same meds have hair loss also. What is your answer? I know it is a new drug on the market and all possible side effects haven t been proved yet. But why won t they listen?

Hello,

since you've checked all potential causes with your doctor and found no real explanation for it, I would suggest stopping xarelto and taking either a low-molecular weight heparin or warfarin (warfarin has to be started about 5 days before stopping xarelto). If your hair stops falling after a while, you can give xarelto another try. If your hair starts falling again, then your doctor should report it as a side effect of the drug.

Your doctor has to approve the modification of the treatment because only someone who has complete knowledge of your medical history should change your treatment regimen.

I hope I've helped!
You can contact me again, if you'd like more information.

Kind Regards!
